Top Reasons I Could Think Of As To Why I Wouldn't Have Kids (ATM)

1. Hello? World's Number One Procrastinator. Seriously, it has to be seen to be believed.

2. I would lose a small child daily to a costume pile somewhere. No doubt.

3. I love my own personal space(s). Actually, I kinda need it. Both physical and mental space. After much cavorting, shenanigans and carrying on, I often like to retreat into my own space and be left for some time with my own thoughts. Can't really do that with kids. They're an ever present presence, if not always physically, definitely mentally.

4. I don't want to have to lock up any of my weapons.

5. Wow, kids require tons of your cheddar. I like to spend my money on me. It's pretty awesome and fun to also buy things for others that I lurve (esp. when it's a surprise!), but I don't have to buy them food constantly, or clothes they always grow out of, doctors/medical procedures or college. O_O

6. Management. I couldn't even find my shoes this morning. So in order to have kids, in addition to my own assistants, we need nannies, and we need'em now.
My life is such that I get a tickle to do one thing or another, and I just go do it. For example, I love cons and dance events. I dress up, pack up, and get the heck outta town. It would be kinda lame for me to create a small litter of people and never stay with them. And FYI, I know myself pretty well. Having kids would not decrease my interest and love for other things, so there's no way I would simply lose interest in life because I had kids. So there would be a definite conflict because I know I'd love my little creatures.

(To clarify a couple of things...One: not interested in the Green-nazism, if people want to have a bunch of kids and can support them, I say have what you want. Just saying that I personally wouldn't (atm). Two: when I say 'lose interest in life', that's not saying that I believe once you've had kids you have no life at all. But unless you have resources that allow you to operate freely as if you didn't have the added responsibilities, then once you have kids you don't have the *same* life, and some things are clearly more restricted or harder to manage.)
